FutureMUD and all associated tools are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License.
The Creative Commons deed provides a readable summary and links to the legal code. The license includes attribution, non-commercial, and no-derivatives conditions. Review the license itself rather than relying on this page as legal advice.
Public repository
The FutureMUD GitHub repository is publicly visible so users can inspect the source, verify release provenance, and follow development history. Public visibility does not make FutureMUD an open-source or open-contribution project and does not expand the permissions granted by the license.
Do not assume that a public repository grants permission to redistribute modified builds or use FutureMUD commercially. Refer to the license and seek clarification when your intended use is uncertain.
Questions, bugs, and proposed changes
Use the FutureMUD Discord to discuss bugs, issues, support questions, or proposed changes. Discuss proposed contributions before investing substantial work; public pull requests are not an automatic grant or acceptance process.
