Vehicle Administration
The vehicle command manages live vehicle instances. A live vehicle is the canonical record of its location, occupants, movement, access, installed modules, damage and towing state. Its exterior item is a visible projection of that record, not the vehicle itself.
Use vehicleproto to author, revise and create vehicles. Use this command after creation to inspect an instance, diagnose operational problems, repair safe projection/link drift, manage crew access, or retire a vehicle. These commands use a vehicle ID or live vehicle name; players normally interact with the exterior item instead.
Start Here
vehicle list - lists all live vehicles, their scale and canonical location
vehicle show <id|name> - shows the complete live state, including projection synchronisation, occupants, access, modules, damage, towing and readiness
vehicle retire <id|name> - permanently retires an eligible live vehicle; RoomScale interiors, journeys and hitches must be clear first
Access And Crew Authority
Vehicle access is a per-character operational permission system. The tags are board, control, service, repair and hitch; all grants every tag. Level 1 permits boarding, level 2 permits operational actions, and level 3 permits all actions. Vehicles with no access rows remain permissive for compatibility.
vehicle access <id|name> list - lists the vehicle's access rows
vehicle access <id|name> grant <character> <board|control|service|repair|hitch|all> <1-3> - adds or updates a grant
vehicle access <id|name> revoke <character|row id> [tag] - removes a row, all of a character's grants, or one tagged grant
vehicle access <id|name> apply <preset> <character> - applies a named access preset to one character
vehicle access <id|name> clone <source vehicle> - copies all access rows from another vehicle
Presets are reusable static crew roles. They are useful when many vehicles share the same driver, engineer or crew permissions:
vehicle access preset list - lists all presets
vehicle access preset show <name> - shows one preset's grants
vehicle access preset set <name> <board|control|service|repair|hitch|all> <1-3> - adds or changes a preset grant
vehicle access preset remove <name> <tag> - removes one grant from a preset
vehicle access preset delete <name> - deletes a preset
vehicle access preset reset <name|all> - restores a preset or all presets to their seeded defaults
Diagnosis, Repair And Recovery
vehicle show is the best first diagnostic. vehicle audit reports findings without changing anything. vehicle recover ... fix only applies safe, specific recovery actions; omit fix to preview them. A missing exterior is deliberately not recreated because it could attach the wrong item: repair it explicitly with vehicle relink.
vehicle repair <id|name> - repairs the current exterior component link and synchronises it to the vehicle's canonical location
vehicle repair <id|name> damage <zone|all> - clears vehicle damage-zone wounds and recalculates damage status; it does not clear manual disables
vehicle repair <id|name> hitch <link|all> - re-enables a repaired persistent hitch/tow link only when graph validation succeeds
vehicle audit <scope> [mode] - reports operational findings for a scope
vehicle recover <id|name> [projection|install|hitch|interior|docking|all] [fix] - previews or applies recovery for one vehicle
vehicle relink <id|name> <item id|local item> - attaches a replacement exterior item that already has the vehicle exterior component
A scope is a vehicle ID/name, here, zone, prototype <id|name>, or all. An audit mode is readiness, access, resources, hitch, damage, route, journey, interior, docking, recovery or all.
Fleet Operations
Fleet operations perform the same inspection, recovery or access change over a scope. Use them for a vehicle family, a local group, or an entire fleet:
vehicle fleet <scope> audit [mode] - audits every vehicle in the scope
vehicle fleet <scope> recover <projection|install|hitch|interior|docking|all> [fix] - previews or applies recovery across the scope
vehicle fleet <scope> access apply <preset> <character> - applies a preset across the scope
vehicle fleet <scope> access grant <character> <tag> <1-3> - grants an access tag across the scope
vehicle fleet <scope> access revoke <character|row id> [tag] - revokes matching access across the scope
vehicle fleet <scope> access clone <source vehicle> - copies grants from one vehicle to every other vehicle in the scope
