Command reference
Area
Command words: area
Permission: JuniorAdmin
This command is used to create, view and edit Areas, which are a way to group together rooms with similar proximity or purpose.
Areas are independent of the location hierarchy; so for example, they are not a stage in-between rooms and zones but rather separate; areas can split across multiple zones. Rooms can even belong to more than one area at a time.
Areas are useful for organising echoes and logic in progs (law enforcement for example).
The syntax for working with areas is as follows:
area list [<zone>] - lists all areas (optionally containing rooms in a zone)
area show <id|name> - shows details about an area
area edit <id|name> - begins editing an area
area edit - an alias for area edit <id> for the area you're editing
area close - stops editing an area
area new <name> - creates a new area and begins editing it
area add - adds the room you're in to your currently editing area
area remove - removes the room you're in from your currently editing area
area weather <id|name> - sets a weather controller for the area that overrides zone
area weather clear - clears a weather controller override
