Command reference
Omote
Command words: omote
Permission: Any
An omote is an "Object Emote", which is an emote that is appended to an item's long description (what people see when they use the look command in a room where it is). OMotes use the same syntax and full grammar markup as other types of emotes and can target other people and things in the room.
Note that
The syntax to use this command is as follows:
omote <item> - views the current omote for an item, if any
omote <item> clear - removes an item's current omote
omote <item> <emote text> - sets an item's omote
For example, if you set the omote of a white cotton shirt to folded in a neat, crisp square, its long description might appear like this:
A white cotton shirt is standing here, flipping a silver pen back and forth between his fingers.
