Test

Command words: silenttest, test
Permission: Any

The test command is used to roll a test against a skill, attribute, or other factors like height or weight. This can be private (only you see that you have tested it and the outcomes) or public (everyone sees it).

This command is used to supplement roleplay by having a way to introduce a little risk. Success or failure has no mechanical effect.

You can use this command in one of two following ways:

test <attribute>|<skill>|height|weight [<difficulty>] - tests something against the supplied difficulty
test <attribute>|<skill>|height|weight - tests something against a difficulty of normal.
silenttest <attribute>|<skill>|height|weight [<difficulty>] - tests something against the supplied difficulty but does not echo
silenttest <attribute>|<skill>|height|weight - tests something against a difficulty of normal but does not echo.

See show difficulties for a list of valid difficulties.

You can also use this command to test against someone else. This always echoes.

test <attribute>|<skill>|height|weight vs <target> <attribute>|<skill>|height|weight [<difficulty>] - tests something against someone else at the supplied difficulty
test <attribute>|<skill>|height|weight - tests something against someone else at a difficulty of normal.
