Command reference
Uninstall
Command words: uninstall
Permission: NPC
The uninstall command is used to remove installed things from their working location. It can remove a door from an exit, a lock from a lockable item or door, or a vehicle module from a vehicle installation point. Ordinary characters take time to complete most removals, while administrators complete them immediately.
Doors are addressed either by the door item or by the exit keyword shown in LOOK, including non-cardinal exits like cell1. Removing a door may require the door to be player-removable, may be easier or harder from the hinge side, and may require a successful check with the appropriate trait.
Locks must usually be unlocked first, and if the locked object can open it must be open before you remove its lock. Removed locks go to your hands if possible or are set down; removed doors are placed in the room. Delayed removals can be interrupted if the target disappears, closes, locks, or otherwise changes while you work.
The syntax is as follows:
uninstall <door|exit> - removes an installed door from an exit
uninstall <door|container|exit> [<lock>] - removes a lock from a lockable target
uninstall <vehicle module> - removes an installed vehicle module from its vehicle
